The System Sales Engineer will promote and sell fire alarm systems/equipment and service offerings of Fire Systems Inc. Will support the efforts of the system sales department and its efforts to meet and exceed sales goals.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for new business development, account management, project estimating, and project management.

· Establish and maintain relationships with Contractors, and End-Users of equipment and service via sales calls, generating and following up on leads, and providing sales assistance to the present customer base.

· Identify and engage with new customers, and retain existing customers through site visits, office visits, industry conferences, and continued follow-up communications. (Phone, email, etc.)

· Required to directly interface with both new and existing customers at their locations of business to better understand their organizational requirements and environment.

· Research technical requirements of FA systems, understand the customer’s needs and how to map these to a sales solution. This may require site visits and a walk through of the intended installation sites.

· Prepare and present bids/estimates to customers based on bid documents, blueprints, project specifications, code knowledge, product knowledge, and industry experience.

· Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog.

· Act as an interface between customers and technical staff to resolve outstanding issues on ongoing projects.

· Provide reports and feedback on customer accounts and ongoing projects to management, accounting, field technicians, and sales support staff.

· Close sufficient sales to meet and exceed sales goals set by management on annual basis.

Qualifications:

· A minimum of 5 years' sales experience is required, preferably in Fire & Life Safety or related industries such as security, building systems, etc.

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred with Vocational School training in Engineering or a related field being a substitute with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry.

Valid driver's license required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
